Bowen Gap Cemetery

This Cemetery is beautiful and well taken care of. Visited August 02, 1998. This cemetery is located on a ridge , most likely on the Russell and Buchanan County lines. It is most easily accessable from the Buchanan side. Traveling from Honaker on Rt. 80, just below the foot of Big A Mtn turn left on Combs Ridge Road ( this turn is before you reach Penley's Grocery) . Travel to the top of Combs Ridge, and you will see a church on your left. This church used to be known as the "Pole Church", it now has whit siding in it,...turn left here, and travel abt. 2 mile to the home of Berkley Stevens,Jr.. His home is on the left, and there is a road to the left of his driveway, which is on left of paved road. Travel up hill to a single wide trailer, which is on your right, and at the trailer, turn left up hill. You are there!! This cemetery is located near the home of Berkley Stevens, Jr.
