DIRECTIONS
From South Clinchfield, VA go South on Rt 615 for about 3 miles. On the right is the entrance to Gravel Lick Church up a gravel drive. The cemetery is behind and around the church.

This cemetery is on a hillside and pretty well kept. Started in the SW corner.

In memory of Bennett Musick assasinated Feb 3, 1937 by Deputy Sheriffs of Harlan County, Paid by the coal operators serving under Theodore Middleton, Sherriff, while in the presence of his mother in his home at Evarts, KY. The assasins, by their rifle fire, evidently intended to kill Marhall Musick, the father of the deceased, organizer for the United Mine Workers of America.
