HENRY CLAY RASNICK CEMETERY
NEAR S. CLINCHFIELD, VIRGINIA

LATITUDE/LONGITUDE
365709N 821030W (from USGS Quad Map: Carbo, VA)

DIRECTIONS
From South Clinchfield, VA take Rt 615 South past the tailings ponds. On the left will be a Clinchfield Co., Coal Labratory building. The next (gravel) left will be the road to this cemetery. It is not far, but can't be seen from the road.

FIELD NOTES: 2/15/99
This cemetery is mown, fenced and pretty well kept nice. It is not very peaceful because of the constant noise of the nearby steam plant, but someone obviously visits often. The gravel has recently been replaced. Also, spellings of Rasnake/Rasnick have been carefully noted because different sides of the family tended to spell them differently, even though it was hardly standard.

FORMAT Note: Items in parenthesis are the best guess of the researcher. Items in brackets are my comments. A double stone is two people on one stone - usually husband and wife unless otherwise indicated.
