Man Wounded in Powell Valley

From the unpublished manuscript, Indian Atrocities Along the Clinch, Powell and Holston Rivers, page 175.

Col. Arthur Campbell, writing to Governor Edmund Randolph, on August 1, 1789, (1) states:

...About two weeks ago a skirmish happened in Powell Valley with a small party of Indians that were stealing horses, in which we had one man badly wounded.

No name has been recovered for this wounded man.
