April the 14th in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Eitghty Eight. I, Absalum Baugh of the County of Russell state of Virginia being Through the blessing of God in a sound state of mind and memory, but calling to mind the frail tenure of life and that it is appointes to all men and to die, do make and ordain this My last will and Testament, that is to say principally and first of all I recomend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it to me and the disposal of my body, I leave to the entire discretion of my friends with respect to my worly Estate I give will and dispose of as follows after my burial expenses are fully paid I give and bequeathe all my land, Stock and farming tools to my Two Grandsons, John H. Campbell and Francis J. Campbell to be Equally divide provided they do and equal share in supporting me and my wife Elizabeth Baugh during our natural lives. If either one does more than the other I want the one that does the most to be paid for same in the divide of land, I will my mare and cow to be kept on the place. I leave all the Household and Kitchen furniture for my wife to dispose off as she desires. I reserve all of the chestnut Oak timber on the corner of my land Joining Jas. H. Dickenson and W. A. Stuart cut of by the roads that runs across my land for the benefit of my friend W. F. Howard, And I do hereby revoke all former wills and codicils in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

At a court begun and held for Russell County, at the Court House thereof on February the 3rd day of September 1889. The last Will and Testament of Absalum Baugh, was this day produced in Court and proven by the oths of W. F. Howard and Emmit Buckles the two subscribing witnesses thereto, and thereupon ordered to be recorded.
