Executed 20 Apr 1804

In the name of God Amen. I Adam McConnel of Russell County and state of Virginia, being in sound mind and memory, but in a sick and low condition, doth make and constitute this my last will and testament to wit:

In the first place I recommend my soul to Almighty God who gave it.

Secondly I order all my just debts and funeral charges to be paid and that my body may be buried in a decent manner.

Thirdly. I order all my just debts may be collected

Fourthly. I give and bequeath all my real and personal estate here and elsewhere to my brother George McConnel and desires he may let his wife Susannah have twenty dollars of my estate.

Lastly. I do appoint my brother George McConnel my whole and sole executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

In testimony hereof I have set my hand & seal this 2nd day of January 1804

This Instrument of writing was exhibited in court as & for the last will and testament of Adam McConnel dec'd & proven on the oaths of Sam'l Ewing & Solomon Litton witnessess thereof & ordered to be recorded.
