In the name of God Amen. Being of sound mind and memory I make this my last Will and Testament. After my just debts and funeral expenses are paid I give to my beloved wife, all my personal property, horses & cattle, sheep & hogs and all my house-hold and kitchen furniture, my wagon and farming utensils so long as she remains a widow for the maintenance of my children, and when she marries, the remaining property to be equally divided among my children. I make my wife my executor. Given under my hand this 8th day of February 1868.

At a court of quarterly session held for Russell County at the courthouse on the 3rd of March 1868.
The last Will and Testament of Calvin W. Griffith decd., was produced in court and proved by the oaths of Samuel Robinson, and Thomas S. Johnson the two subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. And on motion of Mary Emeline Griffith the executrix therein named who took the oath of an executrix prescribed by law and entered into and acknowledged her bond in the sum of six hundred dollars together with Samuel Robinson and Thomas S. Johnson her securities thereto conditioned as the law directs a certificate is therefore granted her for obtaining probate of said will in due form.
