I Eliah Rasnick of Russell County, Virginia do hearby make my last will and Testament in the following manner to wit.

1. I will to my beloved wife Elizabeth all my household and Kitchen furnature and farmig (sic) utencels so long as she lives or remains my widow.

2. I will my son Eliah and my son Vencent all my land to be eackly divided as tha sea propper and tha most take car of thier mother so long as she livs or remains my widow, and all my horses and all my Sheep and hogs and Cattle to my son Eliah and my son Vencent to be used in the family at home. 3rd. I will to my Son Stephen one dollar
4th I will to my Son John one dollar
5th I will to my Son William one dollar
6th I will to my Son Bonapart five dollars
7th I will to my Daughter Polly five dollars
8 I will to my Daughter Hanner five dollars
9 I will to my Daughter Marget five dollars
10 I will to my Daughter Tiscia five dollars
11 I will to my Daughter Isabel five dollars
12 I will to my Daughter Judea one Cow and five dollars if She ever marry.
13 I will to my daughter Anny Eliza one Cow and five dollars if She ever marry and this money is to be paid by my son Vencent and Eliah within ten years from my decease. I will to my son Vencent one

At a court held for Russell county at the Court House on the 7th day of July 1868, The last will and Testament of Elijah Rasnick dec'd was produced in Court and proved by the Oaths of George Musick and George Grizzle the two subscribing witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded. And on motion of Noah M. Couch who took the oath of an administrator prescribed by law, and entered into and acknowledged his bond in the sum of two-hundred dollars together with Jeremiah Couch & Jeremiah Couch for his securities thereto conditioned as he directs. A certificate is therefore granted him for obtaining letters of Administration on the estate of Elijah Rasnick dec'd with the will annexed in due form.
