In the name of God I Elisha Debusk of the County of Russell & State of Virginia being weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God calling into mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die Do make and ordain this my last Will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I give & recommend my soul unto God who gave it and my body I recommend to the dust to be buried in decent christian burial at the discretion of my executors nothing doubting but at the General resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God - And touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give demise and dispose of the same in the following manner & form -

First I ordain and appoint by beloved wife Ester Debusk and my son Andrew Debusk my executors - And after my debts are sealed and paid off I give and bequeath all my personal and ral estate tp my beloved wife Ester Debusk to be at her disposal during her natural life - and what shall then remain in the possession of her shall at her decease be sold and the money thence arising to be equally divided between my four sons (to wit) Andrew /Debusk Jonathan Debusk Elhu Debusk and Elisha Debusk - my land I also give and bequeath to the above named legatees Equally to be divided between them after the decease of their mother - I also give and bequeath to my well beloved daughter Dorcus Debusk forty dollars to be raised out of my estate to be for the use and benefit of her when she shall come to a lawful age - And I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannull all and every other former testament will legacies bequests and executors by me in any wise before named willed and bequeasted ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 24 day of Nov'm 1816

Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Elisha Debusk to be his last will and testament in the presents of us who in his presents and in the presents of each other have hereunto subscribed our names

This instrument of writing was exhibited in court as and for the last Will and testament of Elisha Debusk deceased & proved by the oaths of Larkin Howard & Anthony Witt two of the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded - And on motion of Andrew Debusk one of the executors therein named who made oath & together with George Bishop & Daniel Horton his securities entered into and acknowledged bond in the penalty of one thousand dollars conditioned as the law directs certificate is granted the said Andrew for obtaining probat of the said will in due form liberty reserved for the other executor to join in the said probat whenever hereafter she may think proper
