I Francis Browning Sr. of the County of Russell and State of Virginia do hereby make this my last will and testament in the following manner to wit.
1st, I will to my son John Browning six acres of land being part of a 30 acre survey surrounded by his land.
2nd, having divided my estate with my heirs and settled with them all except for my daughter Mary Munsey, and given them all I intend to ever give them, I therefore will to my daughter Mary Munsey, all the remainder of my estate including every species of property together with all the cash I may have on hand and debts owed to me, at my death to be received by her without any valuation or sales to dispose of as she sees proper. In making this I revoke all other wills I may have heretofore made. Given under my hand and seal this 27th day of November 1850.

I Francis Browning of the County of Russell and State of Virginia do make this my codicil to my last will and testament dated the 27th of November 1850. Having heretofore made application to the pension office of the United States for a land warrent for bounty lands due me under the acts of congress and being desirous to dispose of said land warrents, if it should issue during my life. I hereby direct and authorize my executor herein after mentioned to sell said land warrent and divide the proceeds arising from said sale equally among my sons James & John Browning, my daughter Polly Munsey and my grandsons James Browning, Jessee Browning of Moccasin and Vincent Browning. I hereby constitute Vincent Browning executor of my last will and testament and this codicil given under my hand and seal this 3rd day of May 1855.

At a Court held for Russell County on the 6th day of Dec 1859. The last will and testament of Francis Browning deceased was produced in court and proved by the oath of TCM Alderson and Thomas Dickenson the two subscribing witnesses thereto and a codicil thereto annexed was proved by the oaths of R.H. Lynch and Robert Boyd the two subscribing witnesses and thereupon the said will and codicil are ordered to be recorded, and on the motion of Vincent Browning the executor therein named who took oath of an executor prescribed by law and entered into and acknowledged a bond in the sum of $300.00 with John McElkanney as his securities conditioned as the law directs a certificate is granted him for obtaining probate of said will in due form.
