I Jonathan Boyd of Russell County Virginia make and publish this my last will and Testament hereby revoking and making voyd all former wills made by me at any time heretofore made.

1st. I desire that after my death that I want to be decently buried according to the customs of the country which I live, and that all my just debts be paid as soon as my affects will pay them and as to my worly Est. that hath pleased God to entrust me with I give as followeth.

1st. I give to my son Isaac L. Boyd my home farm where I now live, and require him to pay to two of my grandchildren, they the children of my daughter Malissa Grimsley (Winney) & (Jonis) the sum of forty dollars to each of these two children when they are twenty one years old, without interest. furthermore if my wife should outlive me my said son Isaac shal maintane her at her home during her lifetime.

2nd. I have heretofore given to my son Robert Boyd and made him a deed to certain land. and he was to pay me money. but I only require him to pay to my son Joseph Boyd Twenty Dollars more. And to my daughter Nancy Samples forty Dollars in addition to what he has already paid. both sums to be paid in one year after my death.

3rd. I have heretofore given heretofore to Charles H. Boyd (my son) certain land and he and he was to pay me money. I now only require my said son Charles H. Boyd to pay to my daughter Celia Hunt the sum of fifty Dollars to be paid to her in one year after my death.

4" I give to my daughter Malissa Grimsley the sum of one Dollar. but I have required my son Isaac L. Boyd to pay her part to her two children as may be seen in the 1st article of this will.

5th. I have given to my son John L. Boyd and my daughter Lavina Griffith all I can give them so I give them no more.

6th. I have some notes and accounts on some of my children so I hereby release all claims, notes, and accounts against any and all of my children except as herein required

7th. My household and Kitchen furnature, or stock or moneys, on hand, or debts due to me at my death, I give to my wife Polly to do as she please with. In witness of this my last will and testament, I set my hand and seal this 23rd day of March 1892.

At a County Court held for Russell County on the 7th day of June 1892.
The Last Will and Testament of Jonathan Boyd dec'd. was this day produced in Court and proven by the oaths of Thomas W. Davis and William Dye the two subscribing witnesses thereto and thereupon ordered to be recorded.
