I Lewis Dickenson of Russell County State of Virginia being of sound mind and dispairing memory do make and publish my last will and testament as follows, first if my wife Nancy should survive me I give her the use of my tract of land and all my other property during her natural life. Second subject to the life interest above given to my wife I give to son John P. Dickenson my tract of land to him & his heirs forever, And lastly I hereby constitute my son John P. Dickerson executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all other wills of me heretofore made at any time. Witness my hand and seal this 4th day of April 1867.

At a court held for Russell County at the Court House of the 5th day of April 1870.
The last will and Testament of Lewis Dickenson (decd) was produced in court this day and proved by the oaths of W. B. Aston & F. J. Steele two of the subscribing and ordered to be admitted to record & on motion of John P. Dickenson who appeared in court & took the oaths of an executor prescribed by law and entered into and subscribed a bond in the penalty of four hundred dollars together with Harvey Honaker & J. B. Williams his sureties thereto conditioned as the law directs, a certificate is therefore granted to him to obtain probate of said will in due form.
