Executed 02 Mar 1830

I Lewis Still of the County of Russell and State of Virginia being of sound mind, and being about to take a long journey from which I may never return, do hereby make my last will & testament hereby revoking all former wills or testaments by me heretofore made.

1stly, I give to John Still who to my own son (but illegitimate) all my lands situated in the County of Russell as well a tract of one hundred and fifty acres, for which I have obtained a certificate of survey and deposited the same in the office as any other to which I have acquired a complete title to, him and his heirs forever.

2ndly, I desire that Jincy J. Russell who is the mother of John Still aforesaid, have and enjoy the profits of my said lands until my son aforesaid arrives to twenty one years of age, to her own use but not to be used by any other and to have and enjoy what perishable property I shall leave in her hand undisposed of at my departure for her maintenance during her natural life and whatsoever may remain at her death I give to John Still as aforesaid. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 5th day of July 1822.

At a Court of Quarterly Session held for Russell County the 2nd day of March 1830. This Instrument of writing was exhibited in court as and for the last will and testament of Lewis Still deceased, and proven by the oath of Benjamin Snead and William Price, two of the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
