I Pleasant Horn considering the uncertainty of this mortal life,and being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this last will and testament in manner and form following 1th I desire that my beloved wife Huldah Horn if she out lives me have during her natural life all my land also all my negroes, to wit ,Mary, Easter, Abram, and Nelly also all my properity consisting of homes, cattle, sheep, hogs, farming tools, household + kitchen furniture; also all the grain + growing crop ,and at her death if she out lives me or at my death, if I out live her, I desire my property to be devided as follows,
2th I give to my grandson James B. Horn a portion of my land ,bounries as follows, begining at a black oak on the ridge, a line tree between my land + the Osborn land. Thence a south course, with Osborn's line to the roaming branch thence a west course with the line I sold to Osborn to the to the top of the ridge thence a north course to the spring branch ,thence a strait line to the begining, provided that he take care of his Mother +keep her said land during her life, if not she his Mother to have benefit of said land during her life.
3th I give the remainer of my land to my two son's Soloman O Horn
+ Ichabod Horn to be equally divided between them;
4th I give my negro boy Abram to my son Ichabod Horn.
5th I give my negro girl Easter to my son Soloman O. Horn provided he pays Two hundred dollars
to my daughter Sabra Gibson ,if he won't pay said amount Sabra Gibson to have the negro girl Ester,
6th I give my negro girl Nelly to my daughter Mary Kenedy,
7th I give negro woman Mary to my daughter Judea O. Horn
8th I desire all my other property to be sold + all just claims paid + the remainder of the same equally divided between Soloman O Horn ,Ichabod Horn, Mary Kenedy, Judea
Powers + Sabra Gilson,
9th I hereby appoint my friend George Gose Execuetor of this my last will + Testsment thereby
revoking all former wills by me made in witness where of I have here unto set my hand + seal this 6th day of July 1860.

The above instrerment of writing was now here subscribed by Pleasant Horn . The testator in presence of each of us, was at the same time declared by him to be his last will + testament + We at his request assign our name here to attesting witness to the same.

At a court held for Russell County at the courthouse on the 3th day of
October 1865.
The last will and testament of Pleasant Horn deceased was this day produced in court and proved by the oath of Thomas M. Porter and Samuel Porter The motion of George Gose, the Execuctor named who took the oath of an Execuetor prescribed by law and Witness into and ackenowledged his bond in the sum of four hundred dollars with Samuel Porter as his security, thereto; conditioned as the law directs Asestipicate is there fore granted him for obtaining probate of the said will in due form, the value of which estate including lands is stated on Oath to be 970.00 dollars
