I Sallie Preston Bird being of sound mind and disposing memory do make this my last will and testament this 10 day of December 1898. I give and bequeath and devise to my beloved husband all my estate real and personal.

At a County Court continued and held for Russell County at the Courthouse thereof on the 17th day of February 1899. The last will and testament of Sallie Bird was this day produced in court and proved by the oaths of S.P. Pennis one of the subscribing witnesses thereto who also testified that the said Sallie P. Bird acknowledged said paper in her presence and in the presence of F. Colburn the other subscribing witness thereto, both being present at the same time to her last will and testament and at the instance and request of the said testator they subscribed their names as witnesses thereto in her presence and in the presence of each other and that the said testator was at that time of sound mind and disposing memory and said will was further proved by the deposition of the said F. Calburn taken in the city of Baltimore in the State of Maryland under a commissioner duly issued under an order of this court and its last term, whereupon said will is admitted to probate and on the motion of W.W. Bird who took oath, the oath of an administrator prescribed by law and entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of $1000.00 together with J.C. Gent his securities thereto conditioned according to law, a certificate is granted him for obtaining letters of administration with the said will annexed on the estate of Sallie Preston Bird in due form.
