William C. Morton died in the County of Russell on the third day of October 1820 at the dwelling house of John Porter, his place of residence, on the same day of his death he spoke to his mother and Isaac Craignon and said if he died it was his desire that his brother in law Thomas I. Brown should administer on his estate, And put the money out at Interest untill his youngest Brother was of age and for it to be then divided amongst his Brothers and Sisters, only he wishes his Brother John which is Sitified(?) to have the most.

The above statement was sworn to in Court by Isaac Craignon and was ordered to be established as the non-cupative Will of William C. Morton deceased and on motion of Thomas I. Brown who made oath and entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of $600, conditioned as the law directs, certificate of administration is granted him, on said decedents estate with said will annexed in due form.
