I am looking for any information concerning Sarah Ann SEMORE/SEYMORE b.
ca. 23 Jun 1840 d. ca. 29 Jun 1945 m. John DARTING She is known in our
family as "Granny Dutton." Her daughter is Mary Eliza DARTING
b. 17 Nov 1871 d. 11 Apr 1959 We believe Sarah Ann SEMORE/SEYMORE to
have lived in Wise Co., VA at some time. Any help would be
appreciated!

I am researching the Dye family. Abraham or William Abraham Dye
& Letticia Coleston Dye moved their family from the Caswell Co.
N.C. area. to Russell Co. Va. abt 1808-1810. Before that they
were in Halifax Co. Va. They had 6 known sons & 1 daughter. Sons
names were : Robert, John, Pryor, George, Fountain & Branson.
The Daughter, Nancy, married William Little. The Littles had
also come from Caswell Co. Most of the Dyes in Southwest
Virginia descend from this family. I am collecting information
on as many of their decendants as possible & hope to eventually
have it published. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who is
a Dye descendant, & would be glad to trade info. Also if anyone
has info on who Abrahams parents, gr. parents etc. are I would
sure appreciate that. It is poss. that his father was Jacob Dye
but I haven't been able to confirm this.

John Boothe married Mary W. Alley on November 27, 1868, and moved to
Russell County. He died on August 17, 1877 and was buried in Russell
County.
Can anyone give me any information about where he might be buried, and
any information about any children or any further information about his
wife.

I am searching for the Arthur
Buchanan family from AShe, NC, who lived for awhile in this county before
relocating to Wyoming, WV. He married an Isabel (Abbigail/Abbi)Wright
there
in first half of 1800's I think. They had a son named Greenberry who was
Civil War soldier, 7th Va. Calvary. I have no ohter information on Abbi
except for her age in 1850 census at 43 in Wyoming. Their children were
George, Seny, Louisa, Ruth, Greenberry, Bedy, Oily in 1850 Census of
Wyoming.
I would like to correspond with anyone who could help me with this query.

Elizabeth (RAMEY) are listed in 1850 Russell Co., VA census
along with children Nancy, Polly, Susan, Henry, Rosanna,

tradition says he owned a plantation. Does anyone have

1764 d ?. Was he the s/o Patrick and Jane (?) KENDRICK?
Patrick was b ca 1725 Stafford Co Va d ca 1803 poss. Russell Co
Va- his will was probated 10 Sept. 1803 Russell Co. George was
on the 1820 Russell Co Census along with who I believe to be his
son William KENDRICK (1796-1872). William and his wife Margaret
(?) moved to Floyd Co. Ky in the 1820s and moved again in the
1850s to Wayne Co. Va (now WV). William's death record stated
his parents were George and Nancy KENDRICK. I'd appreciate any-
thing on these lines.
