QRYTEXT: I am looking for more information on Isaac and Lucinda GILLIAM, in the hopes of finding the parents (or dismissing them) of my ggrandmother Nancy Elizabeth "Lizzie" GILLIAM. I've seen a lot of GILLIAM research on the web, but haven't found this couple mentioned. Lizzie GILLIAM was born sometime between 1871 and 1874. Her Cert. of Death lists her mom (no father listed) as Lucinda, which MAY rule out the Nancy E. GILLIAM of William M. GILLIAM and Orah Roberson (who was born in 1874) family. If you have ANY information that could help me with this, please let me know

Is Delila's maiden name CASTLE?

QRYTEXT: I am looking for info on Aulse Hicks that married Sarah Handshoe. I think their children are Charles, Hiram, Claborn, Reuben ,and John Hicks. Ausle was born in Tenn. But his children were born in Tazewell Va. or Russell Co. now called Wise Co. What I need is to find out the dates of his children. Aulse was born in 1780 died in 1850.I have Charles as born in 1795 Reuben in 1796 and Hiram in 1806. I don't know if this is right that would make Aulse only 15 when Charles was born and 16 when Reuben was born . I was wondering if they may be his brothers instead of his children. I hope someone can help me I am very confused

QRYTEXT: Rufus Morrison of Russell County, Virginia (1832-1864). He served in the 16th and 22nd Virginia Cavalry in the Civil War. He married Mary Taylor, and they had four children. They show up in the 1860 Census in Hendrick's Mill Township. But, he doesn't show up in any Russell County cemeteries. He died in the war on 6/24/1864, but I don't know how. He was supposedly buried outside his wife's family cemetery because when his body was returned home, she swore that it wasn't her husband after viewing the body. This in spite of some of his personal effects which accompanied the body. His wife later remarried and apparently never filed for a Widow's Pension. Two questions: 1) How did he die? and 2) Where is he buried

I was told that my Great Grandfather Edward Jacob Meade Owned and operated a general Store on Copper Ridge. There may even be some of his family still living on Copper Ridge. Below is the family that Edward (Poppy) was born into. I would love to have any addtional information on this family or the Store. (The Store would have been there about 1925-1955, not sure on the dates)

Nicholas Honaker and Anna Hobbs were married in Tazewell Co Va on May 25, 1854. He was 23, she was 19 both single. They had 10 children. They are found listed in the 1860, 1870 and 1880 census of Russell Co Va.

One of her children Daisy Elizabeth Brown was born in Sussex County on January 1, 1882. Daisy had a brother named Walter Edward Brown born 18 Jul 1880 and 2 sisters, Bertie born 23 Feb 1884 and Etter born 15 August 1886. I have very little information about Emeline's husband. She moved to Illinois and was living here in the early 1900's. When she moved there she came without her husband. According to family stories he had another family and when she found out she left him. However I don't have any information to verify the accuracy of that story

QRYTEXT: In the book, "Russell Co Heritage" Vol 2, there is a STUMP genealogy write up by Myrtle Ball of Russell Co. She listed 5 children of John Michael Stump and Martha Hess. One of these children, Charles Stump, married IdaBell Hobbs daughter of Samuel Hobbs. She is in my HObbs line. The other children were:

(2) Martha Stump who married Lilburn Honaker and Charles Hobbs and 3rd Charlie Shepherd.
I believe this Lilburn HOnaker is the son of Nicholas (Martin Jr) and Anna Hobbs. Anna being the sister to Samuel Hobbs. Charles Hobbs is the son of Samuel Hobbs and brother to IdaBelle. It looks like MARTHA STUMP married two men who were 1st cousins.
(3) Polly Stump married GEORGE HONAKER
(4) Elizabeth Stump married MEL HONAKER.

I think that the three "Stump" SISTERS married "3" HONAKER BROTHERS.

Other than this article, I have not been able to find the spouses of the children of Nicholas and Anna Hobbs Honaker.

I'm a descendant of Sarah Frazier (b. ca 1795) and James Estep. I notice in the 1850 Russell County VA Census, mention of three Sarah Fraziers (two are not in the census, but mentioned as the mother of individuals in the census).

I'm trying to find out if these are three different individuals, or two or all the same. If the same, one's age is probably wrong. This is info listed:

Sarah (Frazier) Fugate, age 40, born in Russell County. In the household of Zachariah Fugate, age 55. Married in 1830 in Scott County.

Dale Carter, age 45, s/John Carter and Sarah Frazier.

James Estep, age 19, born Tazewell Co, s/James Estep and Sarah Frazier.

There are also other children of James Estep and Sarah Frazier listed.

Anyone know how these Sarah's connect
