1968, Boyd Co., KY; and Ever GIBSON, b. 1881 married a BRUMMETT, d. 1906
in Russell Co., VA. Charles Jonathan GIBSON was said to be a school
master
and had a brother named Samuel GIBSON who was a doctor. Searching for
any information on Charles and Samuel GIBSON's parents.

Researching the Family of Thomas and Hannah Fields that lived near the
Russell-Scott County line on Big Moccassin in the late 1800s. Children
included: Addie married Squire William Moore, Nannie married Milburn
Shaffer, Charlie, Tommy married Effie(?), Roseanna married(?) daughters
Lilly and Ossie married a Shoemaker, and Corrie married Jim Dean. Tommy
and Effie Fields children were John Henry, Myrtle, Peggy, J.P. and Troy.
Anyone familiar with this family that could help me would be appreciated.
Ossie Shoemaker may live in the Little Duck area, have heard J.P. Fields
had a store on State Route 613 in Russell County.

I have a Rebecca WALLACE born c1790 in Tazewell Co. VA. She married John
COMPTON (b1787) on 5 March 1807. Their children: John Allen (b1812),
Frances (b1814),Nancy (b1816), Leander Lee (b1817), Elizabeth (b1820),
Benjamin Wallace (b1821) & William Jeff (b1827). I have been trying
to find out who Rebecca's parents were. I will share whatever info I

1849. Brother is Lewis. Enis married Anne McMeans Tazewell Co. 1834.

I am looking for the death date and birthplace of Jep Kennedy and Bettie
A. Higginbotham Kennedy. One son, Grant Kennedy, lived in Coeburn, VA
(Wise Co.) buried in Kilgore Cemetery in Coeburn in the early 40's.
Banner & Coeburn are the only cities in VA that we can even hear
about that might be some connection. We think Banner is in Russell Co.,
maybe not. Jep and Bettie also had about 12 other children. Jep was born
approx. 1852. Would like any information, stories or dates.

Robert KILGORE (1740/49 - 1782), who married Winnie CLAYTON
(??-c.1784).
Stephen KILGORE (c.1760/70 VA - pre1845 TN) who married Rebecca
SAYLOR,etc (c1770 NC - post1860 TN).
Rebecca KILGORE (c1803 - post1880 TN) who married Abraham LAYNE
(1798 TN - post1880 TN).
Zacariah SAYLOR, etc, (1740/49 NJ - 1789 western NC) who he
married is unknown.

11/18/1880 Wise Co.) Mathew b:1849, David b: 2/15/1853, Jane b: 1888.
Said to be more children. Need parents of James. Family was living in
