QRYTEXT: I am in search of a family that is headed by Solomon "Money Making
Sol" Mullins. His wife was Sarah Cathey.
According to some old records that I have found. Solomon and his sons Spencer and Peter were involved in making counterfeit gold and silver coins. This is supposed to be in the Court records of Russell County VA. Solomon apparently lived in Russell County in 1837, coming there from Pike County KY. To Russell County.
In the papers that I have, it says "He also purchased land in Russell County, Virginia (now Dickenson) and lived there a short time, or several different times." Also "This (the counterfeiting) may have been the reason that he left Russell County and went to Marion County TN."
I am trying to find the connection between him and three Johnson girls that
he brought to Boone County VA/WV in 1847. Their names are Rhoda, Mahala,
and Eloisa/Elvira Johnson and they are the supposed granddaughters of
Solomon and Sarah. They are teenagers in 1850, although Mahala is married.
Does anyone know of this family? Any help appreciated.

Benjamin WIGFIELD. He moved from Surry County, NC to that part of Russell
Co which later became Scott County along Copper Creek sometime in
1799-1800, appearing on the 1800 Russell Co Personal Property Tax
List. According to the 1790 Surry County Federal Census he had 3
daughters. He appears to have purchased property along Copper Creek in
1807 from Robert PRESTON in 1807 (recorded in Washington County deed
book). He died by 1820. I'd welcome hearing from anyone with info on this
fine fellow. If anyone has access to Russell or Scott County land or personal property tax lists (not already listed on the
Russell Co GenWeb) or Russell County Court Order Books and finds reference
to WIGFIELD's please drop me a line. Happy to exchange information, I have

we are searching for may be still in the records of the original county of

referencing Zachariah Wells. He was married to either a Abigail or
Elizabeth Osborne rpior to his settling in the region he had sons named
Zachariah, Jeremiah, William and Robert, that I can remember presently. He
