Civilian Conservation Corps, Camp John Fox, Jr. Co. 1362,
Southern Section of Big Stone Gap, VA, April 26, 1934. These young men worked in nearby forest to build trails, roads and parks. Base pay was $30.00 per month plus board. They kept $5.00 and $25.00 was sent home to help support their families. Photo from Ed Mahan.
