Funeral Sunday For Geneva Woman, 80
Mrs. Josephine Caudell, 80,
who lived with her granddaugh-
ter, Mrs. George Stephans of
Geneva, died at Major Hospi-
tal at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday.
She had been in critical condition
since Tuesday.
Except for one and a half
years spent in North Vernon,
Mrs. Caudell had lived in Shel-
by County all her life. She was
born in Washington Township
on April 26, 1883, the daughter
of Charles and Nancy (Ray)
Wasson. Mrs. Caudell was mar-
ried to William Curtis Caudell
on June 27, 1915, in Shelbyville,
and he preceded in death in
1953. She was a member of the
Lewis Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include three chil-
dren, Mrs. Dallas (Mary) Isley,
R. R. 1, Waldron, Mrs. Dennis
(Viola) Kuhn, R. R. 6, Shelby-
ville, and Mrs. Norbert (Mab-
el) Cassidy of Indianapolis; two
sisters, Mrs. Nora Kiser of
California and Mrs. Leann Ran-
dall of Florida; a brother,
George Wasson of North Ver-
non, 12 grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren. Two daugh-
ters and one son preceded in
death.
Rev. Marvin Isley will con-
duct services at 2.00 p.m. Sun-
day at the Murphy Mortuary.
Burial will be in the Lewis
Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
Friends will be received at the
mortuary after 7:00 p.m. Fri-
day.
