Lilly Rose Magdalene "Mema" Coffman,
75, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at Regency
Place. She was a resident of Greenwood.
She was born Oct. 4, 1926, in Stan-
ford, Ky. Her parents were Perry and Nancy
(Bullock) Carlton. She married Ralph E.
Coffman on Dec. 24, 1948, in Greenwood.
He preceded her in death. Survivors include
a son, Wayne Coffman of Whiteland; four
daughters, Susan G. Cliffton of Browns-
burg, Lillian Lee Calvin of Carmel, Brenda
J. Coffey of Greenwood and Patty Fuller
of Plainfield; a brother, Edna Carlton of
Indianapolis; four sisters, Pansy Nicely
of Mount Vernon, Ky., Dudie Pollard of
Lancaster, Ky., and Nell Wanda Baugh and
Beulah Lane, both of Indianapolis; 10
grandchildren; and a great-grandson. She
was preceded in death by two brothers
and two sisters.
She was a home day-care provider for
40 years, retiring in May 2000.
Chaplain Rick Shaw will conduct a
service at 1 p.m. Friday at Wilson St.
Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Green-
wood Chapel.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today
at the funeral home. Burial will be at
Greenwood Cemetery.
