Mattie L. Everroad Dies Saturday
Mattie Lefever Everroad, 91, longtime
resident of Edinburgh, died Saturday morning
at Columbus Convalescent Center. She was
the widow of David Everroad who died in
1977.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:30
p.m. Tuesday at Eskew Funeral Home by the
Rev. Mark Strietelmeier. Burial was at Rest
Haven Cemetery.
Mrs. Everroad was born in Brown County,
Oct. 2, 1888, the daughter of Frank and Martha
Weddle Cordray. She was first married to
George E. Lefever who died in 1945. She was
a member of the former Roberts Chapel in
Shelby County.
Survivors include four daughters, Betty
Cox, Freda Reed, Edith Varanelli and Bonnie
Bandy all of Edinburgh; a son, George Lefever,
Edinburgh, 12 grandchildren and 22 great-
grandchildren.
