Martha A. Forth Rites Announced
EDINBURG -- Funeral services for
Mrs. Martha Alice Forth have been set
for Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock
in the Mutz Funeral Home.
The services will be in charge
of the Rev. B. J. Renner, pastor of
the Edinburg Methodist Church, with
burial taking place in Rest Haven
cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral
home at any time after 7 o'clock to-
night (Thursday) and until time for
the services. They are invited to
attend the rites.
Mrs. Forth died in the Faith
Nursing Home at 1:30 o'clock Wed-
nesday afternoon, she had been a
patient there since December 1965.
She was born near Edinburg
on Jan. 1, 1883, and was the daugh-
ter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William
Morgan Coy.
Early in life she was married
to Charles E. Downs and a son was
born to them. Mr. Downs died in 1933,
and in 1950, she and Frank A. Forth
were married. He died in 1960.
Mrs. Forth had spent her life
in the Edinburg vicinity and was a
member of the Edinburg Methodist
Church.
The son, Martin Downs, of
Indianapolis; a grandchild; and two
great-grandchildren are the survi-
vors.
A brother and two sisters
preceded Mrs. Forth in death.

Alice Forth Dies At Faith Home
Mrs. Martha Alice Forth,
83, who has lived most of her
life in Edinburg, passed away
yesterday afternoon at 1:30 at
the Faith Nursing Home.
Surviving are one son, Martin
Downs of Indianapolis, 1 grandchild,
two great grandchildren, and several
nieces and nephews. Two sisters
and one brother preceded in death.
Mrs. Forth, born January 1,
1883, was the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. William Morgan Coy. She was
married early in life to Charles E.
Downs who preceded in death in 1933.
In 1950 she married Frank A.
Forth who preceded in death in 1960.
Mrs. Forth was a member of
the Edinburg Methodist Church.
She had been making her home at
Faith Home since last December.
Funeral services will be held
Friday at 1:30 at the Mutz Funeral
Home with the Reverend B. J. Renner
conducting the service. Burial will
be at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Funeral
Home tonight from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.
