      Mary Edith (Bowman) Roberts, 94, 
died Monday, July 13, 1998, in Greenwood.  
She was a resident of Nashville and a 
former resident of Indianapolis.
      She was born Nov. 26, 1903, in 
Edinburgh.  Her parents were Charles T. 
and Hattie F. (Miller) Bowman.  She 
married Marvin M. Roberts.  He preceded 
her in death Oct. 4, 1989.  Survivors 
include three nieces and seven nephews.
      She was a freelance comptometers 
operator for 20 years, retiring in 1956.
      There will be no services.  Burial 
will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in 
Edinburgh.  G.H. Herrmann Madison 
Ave. Funeral Home is handling arrange-
ments.
