William Thompson died last Thursday evening of a congestive chill. He was buried by the I. O. O. F. order on Saturday evening at 4 o’clock in Deer’s cemetery. Deceased was 34 years old, and leaves a wife and three children to mourn his loss.

Resolutions of Respect.
Whereas it has pleased an alwise [sic] Providence to remove from us by death our brother William Thompson, we the members of the Bargersville Detective Company would submit the following:
Resolved, That we cherish in our memory the upright and manly bearing of our brother not only as a member of our order but also as a neighbor, friend and Christian brother.
Resolved, That we extend to his bereaved family and friends our heartfelt sympathy in this their sad hour of bereavement.
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be furnished each of the county papers for publication and that they be put upon the records of our company.
