RALPH COY, 70, STRICKEN
Ralph Coy, 70, a native
of Bartholomew County, died at
4:45 o'clock Sunday morning at
the Shanklin nursing home where
he had been a patient for some
time.
Mr. Coy was born Oct. 1,
1888, in Bartholomew County the
son of the late Samuel W. and
Emma Barnhill Coy. On Dec. 27,
1911, he was married to Grace
Waltz who died 28 March, 1958. He
had been a resident of Columbus
since retiring from farming in
1955. Before his retirement he
was engaged in farming in Camp
Atterbury area later moving to
Rush County.
In early life he was a mem-
ber of the Kansas Church of Christ
and later transferred his member-
ship to the Center Christian Church
in Rush County. He was a member
of the Nineveh Masonic Lodge and
the Order of Eastern Star in Edin-
burg.
Survivors include two bro-
thers, Aubrey Coy of Rushville
route 1 and Dallas Coy of White-
land route 1; and a sister, Mrs.
Reba Boll of Route 4.
Funeral services will be
conducted at 3 o'clock Tuesday
afternoon at the Edinburg Christian
Church by Dr. T. K. Smith with
burial at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Masonic graveside rites will be
held.
The casket will be open at the
Mutz Funeral Home in Edinburg until
12 o'clock Tuesday noon when it will
be moved to the church to be open
after 1 o'clock until time of
the service.

Ralph Coy Dies Early Yesterday
Ralph Coy, 70, died at 4:45 P.M.
yesterday at the Shanklin Nursing Home,
Columbus.
Funeral services at the Edinburg
Christian Church at 3:00 P.M. tomorrow
will be conducted by the Reverend T. K.
Smith. Burial will be at Rest Haven
Cemetery where there will be Masonic
services.
Friends may call at the Mutz Funeral
Home after 3:00 P.M. until noon tomorrow
and at the church after 1:00 P.M. Tuesday.
Mr. Coy, a retired farmer, was born
in Bartholomew County on October 1, 1888.
His parents were Samuel W. and Emma
Barnhill Coy.
On December 7, 1911, he married
Grace Waltz who died March 28, 1928 [1958].
Survivors are two brothers Aubrey,
of Rushville and Dallas Coy of Whiteland,
and a sister, Mrs. Reba Boll of R.R. 4,
Columbus.
Mr. Coy was a member of the Nineveh
Masonic Lodge, the Edinburg Eastern Star
and the Center Christian Church, Rush
County.
