Kentucky citizens as well as others around the globe, have been interested in space and spaceships for years. We look to the skies to see stars and planets, so it was inevitable that some people could see other things. Following is a list of sightings in Kentucky that may or may not be explained. This is not a comprehensive list by any means. Could all these people and sightings be real or is everyone deceived? Is there actual concrete evidence rather than just words? The fact is that people are seeing something they cannot explain. Perhaps others can explain the items in the sky. Let's see and hear for ourselves.
FACT

FICTION
Where did this fascination of UFOs come from? Let us consider the history of science fiction in writing. The most famous of all and the first to be considered science fiction, is Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, a true science fiction genre published in 1818. Edgar Allan Poe wrote many works loosely classifiable as science fiction such as The Balloon Hoax of 1844. In The Year 2889 by Jules Verne was published in 1889. H G Wells, The Time Machine, was first published in 1895, a science fiction account of time travel and in 1897 War of the Worlds. There are many other examples of science fiction that prepared people to accept other visitors from space.
It only made perfect sense for science fiction to reach another audience on the new medium, radio. The first science fiction on the radio was a show called Ultra Violet syndicated as early as 1930, written and produced by Fran Striker. In 1932 Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon were shows produced for children supposedly to glamorize scientific progress. The most memorable science fiction old time radio from the 1930s was Orson Wells War of the Worlds on Mercury Theater aired on Halloween, October 30, 1938. This broadcast had a phenomenal impact on the nation because Wells blurred the lines between fiction and fact, essentially convincing America that the Martians were invading.
Science fiction came to us in the movies with The Invisible Man, Forbidden Planet, Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe, Battle in Outer Space and countless others beginning in 1940. And the classic The Day the Earth Stood Still in 1951 showed us that beings from other worlds could walk among us without our knowledge. Could we forget The Twilight Zone with many episodes about life from other planets.
In the last decade, a great number of planets outside the solar system were discovered, many of which are gas giants like Jupiter. However, technological advantages have allowed scientists to find smaller, solid planets like Earth thus leading us to speculate that those planets could have people like ours and if so, they could come and visit us just like the movies said! Astronomy has advanced to the point where we know that other stars in the sky are Suns like our own; at least 80% have planetary systems orbiting them; rocky Earth sized planets are common; many possess the right orbits to have the potential for liquid water and maybe life on their surface; in our galaxy alone, there are around 400 billions stars; and spread out the Universe are about 2 trillion galaxies.
Roswell, New Mexico, became the site of the first crash of some object that has since been romanticized as an alien spaceship in movies and propaganda that believes the government is covering up its existence. Just after this crash, UFO sightings began in earnest. In 1947 businessman Kenneth Arnold claimed to see a group of nine high-speed objects near Mount Rainier in Washington while flying his small plane. Arnold estimated the speed of the crescent-shaped objects as several thousand miles per hour and said they moved “like saucers skipping on water.” And so it began in Kentucky.
We have convinced ourselves that aliens exist and they are on Earth watching us. We should ask ourselves if they are here, why? And why don't they show themselves instead of just flying around? Are they afraid of us? Are they just observing? And why only certain people see them? It's time to put this story down and expose it for what it really is. Movies and books make money and as long as people believe in aliens, there is money to be made.
Star Trek, Star Wars, Independence Day, ET and X-Files are just a few examples of movies that have made incredible amounts of money not only here in the United States, but also around the world. We have been brainwashed and continue to accept this as reality. To date there is no solid evidence that life exists on other planets, there is no solid evidence that any life has come to earth in any form. Each and every UFO can be explained with natural or military aircraft that maybe we have not made aware of yet.

The Allen Telescope Array
Recently UFO's, unidentified flying objects, have been renamed by scientists as UAPs, as unexplained aerial phenomena. Scientists have a different approach in searching for life beyond Earth. The direct approach is to search for microbial life on other worlds in our Solar System.
They search for biosignatures on worlds outside our Solar System, looking at the chemical compositions and physical properties of atmosphere and the planet's surface.
They search for technosignatures from elsewhere in the galaxy and Universe such as the speed of light. But only rarely do scientists mention UFOs or UAPs as a possibility for alien life.

CONSPIRACIES
Now lets talk about conspiracies. I will keep this short. The conspiracy-laden idea that scientists know more about these than we’re letting on is absurd. As Benjamin Franklin famously put it, “three may keep a secret, if two of them are dead.” Scientists is gather enough data to determine what the objects are likely to be. They currently do not have enough data.
Here is what a professional scientist has to say about conspiracies. Neil deGrasse Tyson is a well-known and respected scientist.

So there you have it folks. Facts, fiction and conspiracies are in abundance. In conclusion, decide for yourself based on clear solid evidence if UFOs or UAPs in Kentucky actually exist. Don't be swayed by movies, books or internet sites without source material.
