WOODSON-BENTON A Thanksgiving wedding that came as a surprise to their many friend was that of Miss Nellie Woodson and Mr. W.T. Benton which was solemnized Nov. 2, at the First Baptist church at Henderson. The bride is a very attractive young lady and is the daughter of C.C. Woodson of this city. She is a graduate of the Providence high school and has many friends here. The groom is an industrious young man and holds the position of Bookkeeper for Delker Bros. at Henderson where Mr. and Mrs. Benton will make their home. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N.F. Johnson formerly of Providence, Ky. but has been residing in Chicago for the past two years and is a very charming young lady. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Anderson of Grovertown, Ind. and is an intelligent young man. They will make their home in Chicago. Nealey Pearcy, pastor of the General Baptist church. A few friends were present during the ceremony. Mrs. Clarke is teacher of the Hearin school . Mr. Walden is a teacher of the Green Hill High School. At the close of their respective schools the couple will reside at Bowling Green. Twice-a-week Providence Enterprise; Friday Dec. 13, 1929 NORWOOD-ADAMS The wedding of Miss Beatrice Norwood and Mr. J.A. Adams was solemnized Nov. 27, 1929 at Hopkinsville, Ky., the Rev. G.G. Sledge officiating. The bride is the charming and attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Norwood, Nebo, Ky. She graduated from the Providence High School in the class of 1925, and from the Bethel Woman's college, Hopkinsville in 1927, and is now a teacher in the Dalton High School, Dalton, Ky. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Adams of Hanson, Ky. and is a young man of the highest moral standing. He is a graduate of the Western Kentucky Teacher's College of Bowling Green, Ky. Mr. Adams is now Principal of the Dalton High School. At present the happy couple will make their home in Dalton. Twice-a-week Providence Enterprise; Friday Dec. 13, 1929 HARDEE-TEAGUE The wedding of Miss Louise Carter Hardee and Dr. Russell E. Teague of Providence was solemnized at 8:30 o'clock Thursday night at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Louise Frazier Hardee, the Rev. Lon M. Call officiating. Mrs. O.G. Kunkel, twin sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Mr. Bernard Teague of Providence was his brother's best man. The bridesmaids were Misses Tevis James of Richmond, Ky., and Mary V. Higden of Cincinnati, Ohio. The ring bearer was Miss Ellen Mae Klaas of Battle Creek, Mich., niece of the bride. The home was decorated in ferns and palms and smilax and Cathedral candles. Dr. Teague and Mrs. Teague left on their Wedding trip for Chicago and after December 19 will be at their new home, 1460 South Third Avenue. The out-of-town guests were, Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Teague and Miss Jonella Teague of Providence, Ky., Mrs. Roy Potts of Indianapolis, Ind., Mr. O. Frazier of Morristown, Ind. Dr. Teague is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Teague of this city and is a graduate of the Providence High School . He received his diploma in medicine from the University of Louisville in June and was one of a very few in the large class to make an honorary medical fraternity, For the past year he has served as the chosen assistant by the most prominent surgeons in Louisville.
