NO. 53.] AN ACT

To incorporate the Napoleonville Fire Company number one, of the town of Napoleonville, parish of Assumption, State of Louisiana.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representativesof the State of Louisiana in General Assembly convened, That Auguste
Von Bulow, Emil L. Hebert, August Boudreaux, Omer Besse, L.P.Hebert, J.E. Himel, D. Bergeron, J.B. Guepet, F. Bergeron,
Octave Bergeron, L. Corde, U. Marguet, S.F. Gianelloni, , C. Dupaty,L. Pigué, Felix Gaudin, V.L. Dauplin, E.P. Helluin, C. Marguet and
L.U. Folse, and other citizens of the town of Napoleonville, be andhereby are incorporated as a Fire Company Number One. It shall
be the duty of said company to keep their engine-house in goodorder and repair, and on the alarm of fire to go to it with dispatch,
and to assist in extinguishing the fire. The said company shall notbe less than twenty-five members.

Sec. 2. Be it further enacted, etc., That a majority of said company,as soon as twenty names have been inscribed, shall have power and
authority to form such by-laws and rules and adopt such constitution,not inconsistent with the laws of the State, for its government as
such majority may think proper; and all fines and penalties, as theymay prescribe for the government fo its officers and members, may
and shall be enforced before any justice of the peace within the townof Napoleonville, or any court of competent jurisdiction.

Sec. 3. Be if further enacted, etc., That said Fire Company numberone and their successors, shall be capable of suing and being sued,
through its president, in any of the courts of this State, and theyand their successors, by their corporate name, shall be capable of
holding, purchasing, and conveying any estate, real or personal, forthe use of said company.

Sec. 4. Be it further enacted, et., That the officers of said companyshall consist of a president, vice-president, secretary, assistant secretary, treasurer, foreman,
assistant foreman, hose director, and assistanthose directior, and such other officers as it may elect.

Sec. 5. Be it further enacted, etc., That this Act shall take effectform and after its passage.
