Doris Wall, 106 
Doris G. (Young) Wall, 106, died Monday, Dec. 25, at the Integrated Health Services of Derry following a lengthy illness. She was born in Birmingham, England, on April 28, 1894, a daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Young. She received her teacher's training and then completed midwifery school. Right after her marriage to Ernest A. Wall on March 24, 1919, they went to the Atlas Mountains in Algeria, Africa, as missionaries and ran a boys' orphanage there. Her son, Deryck Arthur Wall, was born there. She went home to England for the birth of her daughter, Doris Yvonne. She left for England in 1926 and then moved to the United States in 1927 where her husband was finishing divinity school and getting his Ph.D. He became the pastor of two Methodist churches in Long Island, N.Y. Their daughter, Beryl Patricia, was born there. They served churches in Long Island and Queens, N.Y., and in Connecticut until their retirement in 1968 to Lexington, Va. She moved to Andover, Mass., in 1978 where her daughter, Yvonne and son-in-law, Robert, lived. When Yvonne and Robert moved to Windham, she moved to live with them, until she had to go into the nursing home in December 1995.
She is survived by one son, Deryck Wall of Governeur, N.Y., and his wife, Janice; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Yvonne) Siggelkoe of Windham and Mrs. Tom (Beryl) Camper, of Buchanan, Va.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest A. Wall, in 1976. 
There will be no calling hours. Cremation will be at the Southern New Hampshire Crematory, Derry. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the family's convenience at the South Church, Andover, Mass. Burial will be next to her husband in Buchanan, Va., at a later date.

Channing Hamer, 70
Channing A. Hamer, 70, of Tsienneto Road, East Derry, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born in Dracut, Mass., on July 2, 1930, a son of the late Herbert and Marguerite (Moran) Hamer. He was a resident of Derry for most of his life. He was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy, Class of 1948. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean conflict. He recently retired from Sanal Auto Parts where he was employed as a salesman for over 30 years covering Southern New Hampshire. He was a volunteer coach and umpire for baseball and basketball in the Derry community. He was a member of the American Legion, Lester Chase Post 9, Derry. He was well known for his yearly Christmas lighting and decorating of his home. He won the 1995 Nutfield Exchange Club "Proudly We Hail Award" contest for his display of the American flag. 
He is survived by his wife, Judy (Fainauer) Hamer of East Derry; three sons, Darren Hamer of Littleton, Colo., Andrew Hamer of Londonderry, and Alan Hamer of Alton; three daughters, Pamela Cooper of Londonderry, Sandra Amabello of Windham and Kristina Gendreau of Derry; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Lowell Hamer and Kenneth Hamer, both of Derry; one sister, Virginia Demester of Raymond; and several nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 29, at 1:30 p.m. at the Peabody Funeral Home, 15 Birch St., Derry. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry. Calling hours were Thursday, Dec. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Rev. Raymond Gay, 81
The Rev. Raymond A. Gay, 81, formerly of Hampstead, died Tuesday, June 12, in Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood.
He was born in Meriden, Conn., March 24, 1920, to Arthur and Carrie Gay.
He served in the Army during WWII.
He graduated from the New England School of Theology in 1952.
Rev. Gay served as worship leader at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in Sandown for several years.
He was pastor of the Advent Christian Church in Portsmouth and Maine.
He worked at Youth Ministries Advent Christian Church Camp in Alton Bay.
He leaves his wife, Alma B. (Gosselin) of Brentwood; daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and William Will of Lewiston, Maine; stepson, Robert (Arline) Janvrin of Hampstead; 13 grandchildren: four great grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law, the Rev. Frederick and Brenda of New Brunswick, Canada; one aunt; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Marguerite DuBord, and his grandson, William David Will Jr.

E. Rogers Rutter, 70
E. Rogers Rutter, 70, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, at his home in Bridgeport, Vt.
The son of Everett R. and Annett Rutter, Rodgers was born in Cambridge, Mass., and raised on a farm in Derry.
He graduated from Pinkerton Academy in 1949.
He served in the Army from 1953 to 1967.
He received a bachelor’s degree in animal sciences and a master’s degree in resource economics from the University of New Hampshire.
Rogers worked for the New Hampshire Office of Planning on anti-poverty, coastal zone, water and recreational resource plans for the state and region.
As director of the New Hampshire State Technical Service program, he led projects addressing low-cost housing, waste management and nuclear power issues.
He served as executive director of the Community Service Council of Merrimack County, creating countywide crisis intervention and help lines as well as overseeing housing, training, transportation and case management for people with developmental disabilities.
Rogers is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Owen Rutter; son, Jonathan Rutter and his wife, Beverly; daughter, Lisa Savage and her friend, Barbara Brunette; sister, Hannah Martin and her husband, Pete; brother, Michael Rutter and his wife, Linda; one niece; granddaughters and grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.

Frances W. Davis, 86, formerly of Hood Road, Derry, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Greenbriar Terrace, Nashua, following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Portland, Maine, Sept. 28, 1914, a daughter of the late Mark R. and Mabel (Files) Wilson. She was a resident of Derry for many years. She was a member of the Central Congregational Church in Derry. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford D. Davis, in 1987.
She is survived by her two sisters, Margaret Durost and Lois Gardner; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Anna Alga (Darwish) Ampollone-True, 90, of East Derry, died Monday morning at Kenoza Manor Nursing Home in Haverhill, Mass.
She was a floor lady at local shoe shops until she retired. Born in Shenonerah, Pa., she was educated in Pennsylvania schools. She attended St. Joseph’s Melkite Church in Lawrence, Mass.
The widow of Alfred J. Ampollone and Edwin True, she leaves son and daughter-in-law, Alfred J. and Brenda Ampollone of Lawrence; daughter and son-in-law, Maryann and Armand Larachele of Brunswick, Maine; half-sisters, Louise Jacobs of Lawrence and Emily Abraham of Methuen, Mass.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Dennis L. Wright, 31, of Sandown Road, Chester, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born Aug. 12, 1970, in Indianapolis.
He was a resident of Chester for a few months, formerly living in Atlanta for many years.
He was a graduate of Essex Agricultural School in Danvers, Mass.
He was employed as a gate agent for Airtran Airways in Atlanta. He enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his father, Dennis Wright of Indiana; and his mother and stepfather, Patricia (Colwell) and James Catania of Chester.

Virginia H. Porter, 75, of Winchester, Mass., died Saturday, Dec. 29, at home after a brief illness. She was born in Somerville, Mass. She was a resident of Winchester for 36 years, formerly living in Arlington, Mass., for 20 years.
She graduated from Arlington High in 1944. She was a graduate of Westbrook Junior College and attended Curry College where she majored in speech and drama. Mrs. Porter worked as the showroom manager for Cornwall Marketing Co. in Bedford, Mass., for nine years. She was a member of the Rainbow Club (Daughters of the Masons) in Arlington and Jenks Senior Center in Winchester.
She is survived by her son, Richard K. Porter of Arlington; her daughter, Cynthia L. Carbone of Derry; three grandchildren, Matthew K. Porter of Somerville, and Brian A. and Wendy L. Carbone, both of Derry; one sister, Ruth Friend of Oregon, and one brother, Richard Hutchinson, of Rochester. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert K. Porter.

Florida Trottier, 84, of Derry, died Sunday, Dec. 30, at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester. She was a resident of Derry for 16 years, formerly living in Cambridge, Mass., for more than 35 years. Madeline Massaglia, 88
Madeline (Aries) Massaglia, 88, of Fayville died Friday, Dec. 28, at Westridge Healthcare Center in Marlborough, Mass. She was the wife of Rudolph Massaglia, who died in 1984.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Teresa (Follini) Aries and the mother of the late Sylvia (Massaglia) Stone.
Mrs. Massaglia attended Boston schools and was a talented seamstress and homemaker. She was also an avid cook. She was devoted to her family and was the caregiver through many family illnesses. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Church in Southborough.
She is survived by two sons, Paul Massaglia and his wife Diane of Derry, and Edward Massaglia and his wife Shirley of Marlborough; six grandchildren, Nathaniel Stone of Long Beach, Calif., Michele Schindler of Derry, Michael Massaglia of San Diego, Calif., Wendi Massaglia of Fayville, and Peter Massaglia and Sharon Massaglia both of Marlborough; and six great grandchildren.

Vivian M. Preston, 68, of 159 Chester Turnpike in Chester, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, while traveling to Mobile, Ala.
She was born in Groveland, Mass., on Sept. 15, 1933, the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Durling) Preston. She had been a resident of Chester for the past 11 years, previously residing in Newton and Haverhill, Mass., and Auburn, Maine.
She was a graduate of Edward Little High School and the Maine School of Commerce, and she worked for many years for the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, Mass. She retired from the IRS in 1966. She also worked for the Amesbury Group in Amesbury, Mass.
Vivian enjoyed camping, canoeing, traveling, computers and quilting. She is survived by her children, Patricia J. Martel and her husband Alfred of Fremont, Linda S. Beaupre and her husband Philip of Epping, David A. Rogers and his wife Carol of San Diego, Calif., George L. Rogers of Lee and John L. Rogers and his companion Linda Reed of Lee; grandchildren Heather Cammett of W. Newfields, Maine, Olivia-Lynn Forsythe, Jericho and Laeny Martel of Fremont, Mark and Jorg Rogers of San Diego, Calif., and Kimberly Severence of Boscawen; three great-grandchildren, Jordan Leavitt, Jacob Cammett and Paige Severence; her best friend Vicki Sullivan of Chester; and several aunts and cousins.

Thera M. Moquin, 80, formerly of Mammoth Road, Londonderry, died Monday, Feb. 4, at the Mt. Carmel Nursing Home, Manchester, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Fitchburg, Mass., on July 24, 1921, daughter of the late Harold and Mildred (Morse) Parrotte. She had resided the past four years in Manchester, formerly a lifelong resident of Londonderry. She was predeceased by her husband Denis J. Moquin Sr. in 1992.

Mona Nicolosi 
Mona A. Nicolosi, 53, of Clocktower Place in Nashua, died Saturday, May 24, at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Derry on Nov. 12, 1949, a daughter of the late Arthur and Jeannette (Demianow) Desrocher. 
She was a resident of Nashua since November 2001, formerly living in Londonderry for 25 years and Derry. She was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, Class of 1967. Mona had owned and operated LA Wholesale in Hudson with her husband until December 2001. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the Tropics, and enjoyed picking up shells on the beaches of St. Thomas and making artistic displays with them. Until her illness, Mona and her husband had planned to move to Secret Harbor, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, last November. Mona made friends with ease and was loved by all. 
She is survived by her husband, Joseph L. Nicolosi of Nashua; daughter, Kelli Ann Gustafson of Newmarket; and three grandsons, Michael, Alex and Daniel.

George Liouzis
George E. Liouzis, 62, of Whitewater Drive in Penacook, died on Sunday, May 25, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.
He was born in Manhattan, N.Y., the son of the late Elia Liouzis and Olga (Savas) Liouzis of Pittsfield.
He was a graduate of Pittsfield High School, Class of 1958. He received his degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire.
He was a veteran of the Army.
He worked for George Frost Co. in Shirley, Mass., as a personnel manager and a production supervisor. After moving to Penacook in 1985, he worked as a human resource administrator for the New Hampshire State Liquor Commission.
His family called him a professional Remote Man.
He is survived by his wife Denise (Gendron) Liouzis of Penacook; daughters Erica Liouzis of Pembroke and Leah Liouzis of Penacook; mother Olga Liouzis of Pittsfield; brother Nick Liouzis of Pittsfield; sister Dorothy Baker of Derry; grandson Zachary Nickerson; and several nieces and nephews.

Ronald Wheaton 
Ronald S. Wheaton, 67, passed away at his home in Center Barnstead, after a short illness on Thursday, May 22. 
He was born and raised in Woburn, Mass., and was the son of the late Lane S. Wheaton. He had lived in Derry until last August. 
Mr. Wheaton was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Marine Corps. 
He worked for many years as a general contractor. 
He was a longtime member and Past-Master of the Mount Horeb Masonic Lodge in Woburn, Mass. 
He is survived by his wife, Janet E. (Gallant) Wheaton of Center Barnstead; his children, Charlene Trudeau of New Ipswich, Laurel O'Brien of Amesbury, and Brian Wheaton of Derry, David Wheaton of Londonderry, Paul Wheaton of Derry, Mark Bucchio of Newton, James Bucchio of Roberts, Wisc., and Wendy Nicks of Derry; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Rena Donovan of Woburn, Mass.

Thomas F. Kelly Jr.
Thomas F. Kelly Jr., 81, died on Sunday, May 25, at his home in Londonderry. He had been a resident of Westborough, Mass., for 37 years before moving to Londonderry in February 2002.
He was born on July 30, 1921, in Worcester, the son of Thomas F. Kelly and Catherine (McMahon) Kelly of Waterford, Ireland. He was a graduate of St. Peter's High School and the College of the Holy Cross, where he was a member of the Order of the Purple Knights. After two years of college, he was called to service in the Army with the AAF meteorology department, returning to graduate in 1947. Upon graduation, he entered the FBI where he worked as an agent from 1947 to 1951.
Afterwards, he became a successful salesman for a number of leading insurance companies, including Prudential and Great American. In 1995 coming out of retirement to work for Northern Life, he was ranked among the company's top salesmen for two years running. He also owned and operated his own tax preparation business in Westborough for nearly 15 years.
He was a member of St. Luke's parish in Westborough, a teacher of CCD in Westborough for several years and a long-time member of the Westborough Country Club. An avid golfer for most of his adulthood, his greatest passion in life were his wife, his children and his grandchildren.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Doris M. (Russell), 79, also of Londonderry; three daughters, Sharon M. Furbish of Boylston, Mass., Patricia A. Bergstrom of Marlboro, Mass., and Maureen T. Hegg of Londonderry with whom he lived; son, Daniel T. Kelly of Boston; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Katherine Shea, Mary Niedzialkoski and Marguerite Lunney.

Jennifer L. Stowers, 23, of South Boston, Mass., died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 21, in Boston. She was born in Derry, on May 16, 1980, the daughter of Joseph F. and Ellen (King) Stowers. She was a resident of South Boston, Mass., for five years, formerly living in East Derry. She was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy, Class of 1998, and Wheelock College, Class of 2002. 
She was a schoolteacher at Blackstone Elementary School in Boston as well as an avid dancer and musician. 
In addition to her parents of East Derry, she is survived by her fiancé, Douglas Quintal of South Boston, Mass., to whom she was to be married on July 4; his parents, Don and Beverly Quintal, of Peabody, Mass.; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert King of Fitchburg, Mass. (formerly of Petersham, Mass.); her three uncles, Ronald Stowers, Gilbert King and Earl King; numerous great aunts and great uncles; and six cousins. She was predeceased by one uncle Raymond King.

Charles T. Zulkeski, 85, of MacDougal Street, New York, NY died Monday, September 17, 2001 at the Calvary Hospital in Bronx, NY.  He was born in Derry, NH on July 19, 1916, a son of the late Thomas and Katherine (Stophia) Zulkeski.  He was a WWII veteran serving with the US Army Tank Corp.  He is survived by his brother Anthony Zulkeski, of Norwalk, CT.

Sherman P. Comstock, 92, of Beech Street, Manchester, died Saturday September 22, 2001 at the Masonic Home in Manchester.  He was born in Boston, MA on October 3, 1908, a son of the late George H. and Mary V. (Powers) Comstock.  He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Marvel) Comstock and his daughter Ruth Ann Robie.
He is survived by one son, Stanley Comstock, of Chester, two daughters, Linda Noyes, of Chester, Anne Comstock, of Colorado, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, Sharra Lyn Newcomb, of Chester, and one sister Eleanor Wattie, of Melbourne, FL.
There will be no calling hours.  A memorial service will held at a later date at the family’s convenience.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chester Congregational Baptist Church, Chester Street, Chester, NH 03036.  The Peabody Funeral Home, 15 Birch Street, Derry is handling the arrangements.

Roger P. "Happy" Raymond

Roger P. “Happy” Raymond, 81, of Hood Road, Derry, NH died Tuesday June 18, 2002 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH following a brief illness. He was born on February 9, 1921 in Auburn, Maine, a son of the late Henry and Marie (Pelletier) Raymond. He was a resident of Derry for 16 years, formerly living in Salem, NH. He was actively involved with the Friendship Center in Derry, and was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, also in Derry. He was a former member of the Lawrence Elks, BPOE Lodge #65, Lawrence, MA. He was an avid golfer and Boston Red Sox fan. He was an avid greyhound-racing fan and previously owned some greyhounds. He was predeceased by one son Maurice Raymond in 1986.
He is survived by his wife Edith (Johnson) Raymond, Derry, three sons, Richard Raymond, Windham, Rene Raymond, Hudson, Henry Raymond, Methuen, MA, two daughters Rita Cavallero, Diane Roe, both of Haverhill, MA, three step-children, Judith Locke, Bridgewater, MA, Joan Cook, W. Yarmouth, MA, Brenda Clark, Londonderry, 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and his ex-wife, Mary Anna Bouse, Andover, MA. 
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday June 21st at 10:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Crystal Avenue, Derry. Following cremation, private graveside services will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lawrence, MA. Friends may call on Thursday June 20th from 4 – 8 PM at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship Center, 45 E. Enis J. Williams, 85, of Nevins Manor, Methuen, MA, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at her home. She was born in New Bedford, Ma on December 31, 1916, a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Webb) Alves. She was a resident of Methuen, MA for six years, formerly living in W. Medford, MA. She was a member of the Tenants Club at Nevins Manor. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by one son Carl J. Williams, Anaheim, CA, two daughters, Joanna A. Taylor, East Derry, NH, Enis E. Davis, Merrimack, NH, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one brother, Joseph Alves, North Hampton, MA, several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday June 21, 2002 from 6 – 8 PM at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. Norman F. Heaton Jr.

Norman F. Heaton Jr., 68, of Strawberry Hill Rd., Derry, NH, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry following a brief illness. He was born in North Andover, Mass. on October 29, 1933, a son of the late Norman F. and Marion (Jones) Heaton Sr. He was a resident of Derry for more than 10 years, formerly living in Haverhill, Mass. Mr. Heaton had been employed for AT & T in North Andover, Mass. for 25 years until retirement. He was an avid Country Western music fan, enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda M. (Payne) Heaton of Derry, one son, Eric S. Heaton of Haverhill, Mass., four daughters, Mrs. George (Diana L.) Labrecque of Lee, NH, Barbara A. Lord of Haverhill, Mass., Mrs. William (Laurene J.) Leveille of E. Kingston, NH, Mrs. Glenn (Karen L.) Riley of Derry, eight grandchildren, one sister, Barbara Sayers of Groveland, Mass., many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 25th at 1:00 at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. The burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry. Helen Bullard Young

Helen Bullard Young, 79, of Newport News, VA died December 14, 2003 in the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. from Myelomonocytic Leukemia. She was born in Columbus, NE on March 14, 1924. Mrs. Young had been a longtime resident of Londonderry, NH. She was a member of the Londonderry Presbyterian Church and also attended St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, both of Londonderry.
She is survived by her husband, Col. Mason J. Young, Jr. of 4 Young Rd., Londonderry, two sons, Mason J. Young, III of Herndon, VA, Stephen M. Young, US Ambassador to Kyrgyrstan (South of Russia), Joanne W. Young of Washington, D.C., six grandchildren, Maureen Foreman Donnelly, Mason J. Young, IV, Markley North Foreman, Rebecca A. Young, Clifford James Foreman and Patrick Young, two great grandchildren, Colin and Owen Donnelly.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday June 19th at 2:00pm in the Londonderry Presbyterian Church, corner of Mammoth Rd. and Pillsbury Rd., Londonderry. Emory G. Herbert, Sr.

Emory G. Herbert, Sr., 73, of Londonderry, NH died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH. Mr. Herbert was born in Essex, MD on January 17, 1931, a son of the late Frederick G. and Evelyn V. (Valk) Herbert. He was a resident of Londonderry since 1972, formerly living in Essex and Rosedale, MD. He served with the Air National Guard in Maryland from 1947 - 1958. He was employed as a Plant Manager for Crown Cork and Seal Co. of Baltimore, MD and Lawrence, MA , retiring in 1995 after 47 years. He was a member of the Maryland Masonic Lodge F&AM #152 of Baltimore, MD. Mr. Herbert participated in the Native American Scouts of N.E. and the Living History Association of N.E.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alice A. (DeWald) Herbert of Londonderry, two daughters, Renie A. Foote of Hampstead, Pamela A. Levesque of Londonderry, one son, Emory G. Herbert, Jr. of Londonderry, three grandchildren, one brother, Frederick Herbert of Norwich, CT, several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Wednesday June 9th at 1:00pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. John Spottiswoode

John P. Spottiswoode, 83, of Lincoln Drive, Londonderry, NH died Sunday October 7, 2001 in the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH. Mr. Spottiswoode was born in Everett, Mass, on March 3, 1918. He was the son the late, John H. and Lucy (Langstaff) Spottiswoode. He had resided in Londonderry since July of 1998, formerly living in Acton, Maine for 20 years. Mr. Spottiswoode served with the US Army Air Corp during WW2 and was a recipient of two purple hearts and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was employed by the US Postal Service.
He is survived by his wife, Rita G. Spottiswoode, Londonderry, NH, two sons, John Spottiswoode, Kennebunkport, Maine, Alan Spottiswoode, Lynn, Ma, one daughter, Dawn Myers, Londonderry, NH, five grandchildren, three sisters, Margaret Monterose, Mary Monterose and Virginia Mahoney, all of Massachusetts, also many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Nancy Charneski

Nancy B. Charneski, 71, formerly of Devonshire Lane, Londonderry, NH died Friday October 5, 2001 in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH following a brief illness.
Mrs. Charneski was born in Arlington, Ma, on November 27, 1929. She was the daughter of the late, Charles W. and Beatrice (Wilson) Harwood. She had moved to Nashua in February of 2001 after living in Londonderry for 32 years. She had formerly lived in Arlington, Ma.
She was predeceased in 1999 by her husband, Edmund G. Charneski. She was employed as a Travel Agent for the Armed Forces Entrance Examining Station, Manchester, NH. During and following WW2 and the Korean Conflict she was involved with the USO, a social based military group. She was a communicant of St. Jude Parish Community, Londonderry.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. John (Patricia) Buben Jr., Amherst, NH, one sister, Mary Murphy, Largo, Fl, one brother, John Harwood, Clearwater, Fl, also many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Monday morning October 8, 2001 from 9:00am to 9:45am in the Peabody Funeral Home, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. June Littlefield

June T. Littlefield, 80, of Main Street, Hampstead, NH died Monday October 22, 2001 at her home. She was born in Wakefield, MA on June 15, 1921 a daughter of the late Albert L. and Hazel (Ryder) Torrey. She was a resident of Hampstead for many years, as well as Melrose, MA for many years. She was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1939 and the Kathleen Dell Secretarial School in Boston, MA. Having owned a sailboat on the coast of Maine for many years, she was an avid sailor and enjoyed cruising. She is survived by her husband, Charles H. Littlefield, of Hampstead, one daughter, Susan Brickett, of Hampstead, one son, Charles A. Littlefield, of Derry, five grandchildren, Emily Brickett, Eliza Brickett, Zachary Brickett, Jeffrey Littlefield, and Charles Littlefield. There will be no calling hours. Julian C. Hayes, 82, of S. Main Street, Derry died Monday October 29, 2001 at the Maple Leaf Health Care Center, Manchester, NH. He was born in Milton, MA on January 13, 1919, a son of the late William C. and Anna W. (Clapp) Hayes. He was a resident of Derry since 1956, formerly living in Milton, MA. He was a US Army veteran serving during World War II. He was a self-employed antique dealer.
He is survived by his friend, Robert W. Crawford of Derry.

Willard Wilson

Willard Wilson, 88, of Grandview Ave., Derry, NH died Thursday October 18, 2001 at his home. Mr. Wilson was born on February 12, 1913 in Lawrence, Ma. He was the son of the late, Thomas L. and Elizabeth (Calvert) Wilson Sr. He had resided in Derry since 1957, formerly living in N. Andover, Ma. Mr. Wilson retired in 1978 from Sanders Corp. where he was employed as an expediter. He had also worked as a wool sorter for Arlington Mill, Lawrence, Ma. He was past president of the Arlington Athletic and Social Club and a member of the Salem Elks Lodge. He was also a life member of the Halcyon Club, Derry where he served as Sergeant at arms.
He is survived by his son, Frederick W. (wife Marvoureen) Wilson, Derry, NH, four grandchildren, Scott W. Wilson, Salem, NH, Bonnie J. Moore, Methuen, Ma, Heather L. Wilson, N. Andover, Ma, Frederic G. Wilson, N. Andover, Ma, seven great grandchildren, also one niece and seven nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday Oct. 22nd at 10:00am in the Peabody Funeral Home, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence, Ma. Calling hours will be on Sunday Oct. 21st from 1 – 4pm in the funeral home.
