CUYAHOGA COUNTY RECORDER (Now Fiscal Officer)

1-216-443-7300

The Cuyahoga County Recorder's Office has an excellent website. Here, you can search property deeds from 1810 to the present day. As stated on their website, it is the most comprehensive land database in the world, and one that Cuyahoga County can be very proud of.

Deed search: https://cuyahoga.oh.publicsearch.us/ You can search by name, company name, or by parcel number.

Additionally, the recorder's office holds leases, mortgages, and other documents of interest.

Look under "Your House History" on our Homepage for directions on how to trace the history of your home.

The Veteran Burial Registry which was online on the Recorder's site seems to have gone missing. Cuyahoga West Genealogical Society indexed Soldiers Burial Record 1914-1938 Cuyahoga Co., Ohio. https://sites.rootsweb.com/~ohcwogs/burial.htm
