SUMTER DISTRICT) I John Holladay Senr. Do makethis my last will and testament. first I give and Recommend my soulto God allmighty that first give me Existance - & my Body to theEarth in Decent Christian Burial - at the discretion of my Executor. and as touching such world Estate as it has pleased god to Bless mewith in this Life I give & Dispose of in the following form andmanner -

Viz - first I give & Bequath to my Belovedwife Susanah two Negroes for her Life time viz - Sam & Janey -together with my household furniture & plantation tools-. &the Lands to me belonging - which said Negroes. Lands furniture&c. after her Death is to then go to my Son James for his part.& it is my Desire that James Do Se to & take Care of hismother while She Lives: & he is to take Charge and Se to theSettlement of a Bond. or Debt in Chs-ton - Secondly I give &Bequeath to my Daughter Susanah a Negroe Named Prince.- thirdly Igive & Bequeath to My Daughter agness one Negroe Named Bob -fourthly I give & Bequeath to my son William one Negroe NamedAbram - fiftly I give & Bequath to my Daughter Hariot Two Negroes- pheoby & Mary - & as for Mary Spears & John HolladayJunr. I give and Bequeath three Dollars to be Equally DividedBetween them - Viz it is my will & Desire that Bob lefs to myDaughter agness shall go to her Daughter Elizabeth Chester - when shemaries - & I do hereby Constitute & appoint my son JamesHolladay to be the whole & sole Executor of this my Last will& Testament - in witness whereof I set my hand & seal this12th. of September - 1812.
