  James Wesley Brown, 93, of Sherman, Texas was called to his eternal home on Friday, June 16, 2023.
Wes was born March 21, 1930 in Shamrock, Texas, son of Fred and Ruby Medford Brown. He served proudly in the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. Wes married Shirley Bowles July 31, 1950 in the Panhandle of Texas. He was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his son, Jim Brown and wife, Deb Goudy, of Gordonville; daughter, Debbie Thetford and husband, Cris, of Durant, Oklahoma; son, Fred Brown and wife, Crystal, of Fulshear; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Kimzey and Helen Miles. James was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and siblings, Harold and Sharon. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
