Mrs Nola Meadows of Van Alstyne has
received word from the War Department
that the body of her son, PVT Roy P
Allen, who was killed inaction at St Lo
France, Aug 4, 1944 is en route to the
United States for burial.
Pvt Allen was a
member of the Baptist Church and will be
reburied in the Van Alstyne Cemetery.
He is survived
by his Parents, one daughter, Rosetta
Allen, Denison and four sisters, Mrs L N
Brown of Tom Bean, Mrs Buddy Davis of
Sherman, Mrs Vernon Watson of McKinney
and Mrs Robert King of Tacoma,
Washington.
