He was born in Pilot Grove, Grayson County, Texas.

His Father was Otis P Allen & his Mother was Nola Frances Cato (later Meadows)  from Pilot Grove, Grayson County, Texas.
She lived and was buried in Van Alstyne, Grayson County, Texas. He died 4 Aug 1944 in
Mesnil-Clinchamps, Normandie, France. KIA

(It was made up of more units but the Maryland started it. )

PVT Roy P Allen
     Mrs Nola Meadows of Van Alstyne has received word from the War Department that the body of her son, PVT Roy P Allen, who was killed inaction at St Lo France, Aug 4, 1944 is en route to the United States for burial.

     Pvt Allen was a member of the Baptist Church and will be reburied in the Van Alstyne Cemetery.

    
     He is survived by his Parents, one daughter, Rosetta Allen, Denison and four sisters, Mrs L N Brown of Tom Bean, Mrs Buddy Davis of Sherman, Mrs Vernon Watson of McKinney and Mrs Robert King of Tacoma, Washington.
His military registration card. He enlisted 12 Jan 1944.
