His Enlistment papers show he had two years of college. He was a 'general industry clerk'.
His enlistment was in Dallas County. He was an Aviation Cadet and he was single.

According to sources about the day it disappeared.
29 Nov 1942

A Japanese convoy was passing near New Guinea & Buna. They followed it and went down at some point. No one saw them. There were Japanese Zeros in the area.

They were not declared dead until 7 Jan 1946. They waited until all islands were inspected for marooned servicemen  and planes then they accounted for all men in POW camps.
