 -he graduated Whitesboro High School

He was in the US Army Jan 1937 - Sep 1939
Then he was in the Navy starting
Oct 1939 till his death.
He also served on the USS Altair (AD-11) before the USS Hornet. The 'AD" was designation for a Destroyer Tender.
