He was in a German prison camp where he arrived wounded with shell fragments (19 Dec 1945) 3rd day of the Battle of the Bulge
 and died  a POW 12 Feb 1945.





He would have been buried in a cemetery at the POW camps, then
moved to Holland to an American Cemetery,
and then on 11 Feb 1949 buried at
FORT SAM HOUSTON NATIONAL CEMETERY, SAN ANTONIO
