Silver Star Awarded Fort Worth Star-Telegram 6 Feb 1945 Note-His mother is buried in West Hill Cemetery 1963 He enlisted in Dallas and was living in Denison. He was listed as semiskilled in brick and stone masons and tile cutters. He was wounded in the head with artillery shell shrapnel. That was in a field hospital report Sep 1943. Buried SICILY-ROME AMERICAN CEMETERY,  NETTUNO, ITALY
