Killed by Sniper, 17 Jan 1942 in Bataan.
The Japanese had landed in Manila at that time.

The 25th Cavalry Regiment -aka Philippine Scouts They are famous for the very last Cavalry Charge.
This unit was never mechanized, and eventually had to surrender in Bataan to the Japanese in April 1942. Most of survivors had to go on the Bataan Death March  in April 1942.
