He was in the hospital Jun 1944 with Mumps and Orchitis.

In Oct 1944  He died and it said he was injured in the Leg with
Artillery Shell Fragments.

60th Infantry Regiment
– “The Go-Devils” –
He was buried overseas until after the war.
In 1948 he was brought home and he was reburied in Dixie Cemetery.
