Died Non-Battle on 26 Feb 1944 Italy His Service Number -20800500 Enlisted 25 Nov 1940 Born 1919 in Oklahoma His father was Marvin H Sawyer- He is buried in the Oakridge Cemetery-E of Denison. His wife was Dorothy Mace Sawyer Fort Worth Star-Telegram 18 Mar 1944 Article and photo at the left from; Men and Women in the armed forces from Grayson County Ancestry has abstract from 'Hospital' (actually it was a card that the medic who examined him wrote on) It says he was a passenger on a motorcycle and injured in the heart (chest) and in the leg and died. No other info. Buried -SICILY - ROME AMERICAN CEMETERY, NETTUNO, ITALY
