His death noted;source, NARA 1940 Census he was in Philadelphia, PA Dorris P Simmons(36) Wife Mildred M (28) Sons; George S (5) & Donald P(3) 1930 Census he was in the Marine Corps Base In San Diego, CA AS a Mate; It states he was 26 and born in TX and parents born in Mississippi

Manila, Philippines This cemetery was part of  Fort William McKinley, Manila, Philippines He lived in Grayson County, Texas. His wife Mildred Marie Simmons. They had two sons. He is mentioned in a book called Journey Through Hell by Loren E Stamp
