could not find any other news
articles specifically about him. That
is not unusual as that period of
the war was a big secret.
They
did not want to tell details about
where they were.
They
also did not know where everyone
was,
people
crashed and were lost, others ill
and ended up
in
lots of strange places the
government did not know of.
A
lot of it got sorted out after the
war, but many were simply
dead and lost in the jungles, lost
at sea and POWS
sometimes were unknown men who
died without a
record of any types.
Stories of men who were being
hidden by
the natives after being injured
were still to be found a year or
two after. Natives rescued the
wounded and never knew their names
before they died. To this day
someone sometimes finds a set of
dog tags, some bones, a crashed
half buried airplane. WWII
actually has never had a complete
set of who died and probably never
will.
And
there are hundreds of islands in
the South Pacific.

POW ship.
