The burial info is a mistake as he was not
buried in California,
but in
Ft Bliss, El Paso, TX
I am a bit surprised he was buried there and
not in Friendship Cemetery or even San
Antonio. See his burial card below on this
page.

He was buried temporarily near the battle
field.
Then moved later, he was buried in the
Schofield
Barracks main post cemetery (Hawaii)
His body was returned to Texas for reburial
and
buried 3 Nov 1947 in El Paso.
