Albie Parker
Baughman married Edna Jenkins Ridinger 5 Dec
1931 in Durant, Oklahoma. Prior to their
marriage, Edna talked privately with each one
of Albie's children that she would never be
their mother because they already had a
mother. However, she assured each child that
she would make herself a place in their
hearts. The children always considered Edna as
a mother, never a step-mother. Edna and her
children moved from their family farm in
Collinsville and resided at Albie's rented
farm in Southmayd, Texas. Eventually, they
moved to the Gunter, Texas area. In
1951, their home burned with them loosing
almost everything. They rented a house
until their new home was built at the farm.
Albie retired in 1962. At this time Albie and
Edna bought a house in Tioga. This was their
home for over four years until Albie's death
