Andrew Bauman,
born 28 November 1827 in Sasbach,
Baden, Germany; died 14 April 1879
in New Offenburg, Zell,
Missouri. He was the son of
Franz Anton Baumann and Catherine
Armbruster. He married Fidelia
Victoria Herzog 6 May 1851 in
New Offenburg, Zell, Missouri.

Germany; died 26 November 1861 in
New Offenburg, (Zell),
Missouri. She was the daughter
of Joseph Herzog and Josephine
Barth.

Humphrey, Nebraska. - Mary
Ramharter was born 21 May 1870
in Austria; died 13 September
1930. She was the daughter of
Joseph Ramharter and Anna Maria

The
Joseph Ramharter family came to
America from Austria and maybe settled
around the Chicago area. Shortly
after that, Mary Ramharter went to
Humphrey, Nebraska to be with her
cousin, Mrs. Frank Brockhaus. There
she met Joseph Bauman who had come to
Nebraska for health reasons.
Missouri's climate was too damp.
Joseph Bauman learned carpentry from
Frank Brockhaus and Fredinand Ruchs, a
relative of Johanna Fuchs (Mrs. Frank
Brockhaus).
Sometime
before the birth of the third child,
Angela, Joseph and Mary Bauman
traveled into Oklahoma and settled in
Okarche, where they raised their
family.
