INCUBATOR
INFANT IN HOSPITAL MOVE
Denison
Hospital and Clinic moved into its new
quarters at Morton and Burnett today
including transfer of a baby in an
incubator.
Tiny
Natalie Denice Wester, 4-1/2 pound
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Wester
of Pottsboro, slept peacefully through
the fuss of getting her and her
incubator safely situated in the new
hospital nursery.
The
standard ambulance door was not high
enough to accommodate the incubator,
so a funeral home flower truck was
pressed into service. A hot
water bottle was placed in the
incubator to warm the baby during its
brief journey, and away they went,
Minutes later the baby's move
was completed without incident.
Four
adult patients were also moved by
ambulance this morning.
Necessary
equipment was moved yesterday and
today with lunch served in the new
building today. Completion of
the move is expected today with Dr.
S.F. Kuhala transferring his offices
to the new facilities. Saturday
the hospital's operation will be
completely centered in the new
building. The old building has
been purchased by St. Luke Episcopal
Church which adjoins it on the west.
