Bonham Fire ![]() Photograph was sent to Jonas E. Dupree from E.D. Dupree in 1908. It reads "This is a fire - postal can you find me. Bonham Fire. 1114 N. Maple Street P.O.B. 297 E.D". From
Fannin Co. CC - I cannot tell where this was,
the address above is obviously E.D's
resident address. However looking at the 1910
city directory, I can only find
that two years after the fire, W. Sparkman was
a blacksmith at Colman & Kennedy which was on
South Main, There is in the same block for a
blacksmith by the name Marcom. The Poultry comp.
is not listed anymore by 1910. I suspect it is
the 200 block of South Main and that E.D.
worked in that block or nearby as he is
in the picture somewhere from his statement. I
find it interesting that the post
office did not deliver on N. Maple street, he
has a post office box or because he is
listed by himself without a wife he might live
in a boarding house. I checked and
there are no listings for any boarding houses
in the book listed at all.
