Family of W. W. Gillum W.
W. and Martha Jane (Norris or Keeland, I find
it listed differently in
some places) Gillum and the William Leslie
& Laura Alice Carney
families left Grandview, Carroll County,
Arkansas in November 1915 by
train. Pa and Ma, as they were called by their
children, first settled
in the Range Creek community where they farmed
part of the Kimberlin
Ranch. Next they moved to the Welch/Hogtown
community then later
renting land in the Tioga area. Later they
bought their own farm north
of Tioga by trading their 140 acres in
Arkansas. Ma Gillum died in
1944. Pa Gillum later traded his farm for
a house and lot in
Tioga. His second marriage was to Izzie
Morriss called Granny by
his children. The names of the Gillum Children
are:
